We have guides available to walk you through the process:

Mac OS X QuickBooks Export<
Windows QuickBooks Export<

Quicken is another beast entirely, and quite frankly small businesses should skip it and move directly to QuickBooks. That said, for those of you who haven't migrated yet, its better not to send us a backup file – instead contact us and we'll walk you through it.

If you have a Mac version of Quicken, see this guide:

If you need any more help just let us know.

Converting the Mac OS X QuickBooks file:<

Typically, we ask that clients send us an "Accountant's Copy" of their QuickBooks data. However, Mac OSX users need to follow a slightly different process.

The following walkthrough is done in QuickBooks Pro 6. The process will be similar for all recent QuickBooks versions but some of the wording may be slightly different.

1. With the company file open in QuickBooks for Macintosh, select the File menu and select Backup to QuickBooks for Windows.

Walkthrough - Document Access Portal

Frankly, email is a poor and non-secure method to transfer files. To help serve you better, we are offering Document Access to all of our clients.

By logging in, you'll be able to download your tax returns, financial statements, et cetera. Additionally you can send us your organizers, bank statements, and QuickBooks files all in a quick, secure manner, and the system will notify us that it is available.

We've been working hard to ensure that all our clients are quickly setup on the system, if you have not received your welcome email yet, or would like to give an assistant access to your files as well, tell us by clicking here, and we'll set you up right away.

If you have already received the welcome emails, simply click the menu link on the right, 'Document Access', and if prompted install Microsoft's Silverlight. All modern browsers on Windows or Mac OS X are supported.
